INTRODUCING THE COURSE

Loving the Bones of Us is our introductory weekend, held 6th–8th November in Glastonbury, where you'll be introduced to Craniosacral Therapy and begin learning to work with craniosacral attunement.

This will be a very practical hands on immersion, woven through with experiential anatomy, somatic movement, time in nature, Samhain ceremony and sacred site immersion.

This weekend is also your first taste of our two-year practitioner training, come and feel into whether it's the path for you.

WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral Therapy is a healing modality that goes beyond traditional somatic therapy, teaching us to deeply attune and listen. It is bodywork that involves very light touch.

It is a practice of reverential listening. As practitioners we learn to find a deep well of stillness, presence and peace inside ourselves.

We learn to listen without judgment, without a desire to fix or save. This listening requires us to create a sacred space where our clients can feel deeply safe.

OUR SCHOOL ETHOS

Why is being listened to, with stillness, peace, presence and non-judgment, therapeutic?

When we sit as a practitioner and deeply attune and listen to the stories another's body wants to tell, when we listen from a grounded, curious, non-judgemental presence, without our ‘saviour’ or ‘fixer’ selves getting in the way, without needing anything from the other; the client’s body experiences an unusually profound place of possibility. The possibility to soften, to reorient their protective mechanisms, to experience a new relationship with safety, to release held and frozen shock from the body, to unwind fascial tensions and contractions.

Clients often go into very deep places of relaxation where they may find themselves building a new relationship with their own body, their experience of their centre, their safety, their triggers, their sense of where they begin and end. This experience can have profound effects on all areas of health and wellbeing, helping alleviate stress, anxiety, physical pain, shock, PTSD and many other expressions of ill health.

This Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner Training will be a deep personal journey into heart and land. We will be working with land through an animate lens, feeling into ancient wisdoms, growing roots into the land, connecting to the elementals and growing within us a new personal capacity for reverence and devotion.

THE HEART OF THE COURSE

The Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner Training is an immersive 2 year course following the Celtic Wheel of the Year which teaches:

We are passionate about providing a training that fully supports you to develop as a confident craniosacral practitioner. We have designed the pace of this training to enable you to organically grow your perceptual and listening skills. We draw on many modalities including eco-therapy with an animist lens and trauma informed therapeutic practice.

The study of Craniosacral Therapy will be supported with different practices to bring us deeper into relationship with the body and the web of eco-systems our bodies are interwoven with, seen and unseen. These practices will include: Somatic movement, Meditation and visualisation, Nature immersion, Animism and Ritual, reverence and devotion.

This training will immerse us in an experiential, holistic and practical study of anatomy. Separate zoom calls will give additional time and space to anchor your anatomy learning.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Craniosacral Therapy training will include seven in person four-day immersions each year.

These modules take place around the festivals that have long marked the changing seasons and the shifting of the earth's energies, each one built around practical hands-on sessions interspersed with experiential anatomy, authentic movement, nature immersion, meditation and somatic practices. The course runs 56 days over 2 years, with a compulsory Zoom anatomy class between each module, plus additional teaching clinic hours.

“Animacy is the animate expression of the universe through wave patterns, the great expansion and contraction through the universe. We find this rhythmic expansion and contraction mirrored in the oceans and in every cell and organism.” -Josh Schrei

    Celtic Wheel of the Year

Over the 8 festivals of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, we will travel together, re-orienting our own inner rhythms to the wider rhythms of the earth and the changing seasons. "Because all life is connected and our first attachment is to the land" Susan Raffo, 'Liberated To The Bone'

    Creating a Safe Sacred Space

Our priority is to create a safe, sacred space within which we can deepen our listening and perceptual skills, exploring authentic movement within our tissues and reconnecting with our fluid bodies. Through deep stillness, listening and presence, we attune to the stories held in ourselves, each other and the land.

Craniosacral Therapy found me in 2014, after years of chronic back pain from dancing that nothing else touched. My first session hooked me: something released, like pressure I hadn't realised I was holding.
