I love the way Cranio-Sacral Therapy honours the whole of a person’s system, the complex interweaving of body, mind, spirit and energy.

I am so passionate about this work and how it brings us into a powerful heart alignment with ourselves as practitioners, our clients, and for me, with the natural and cosmic world we are all woven into.

My journey with Craniosacral Therapy began at sixteen, during something of an existential crisis. I found a therapist whose gentle presence gave me space to lie down, rest and be.

My background in contemporary dance shapes my practice; I'm drawn to what emerges when we slow enough to listen. My work is rooted in safety, deep listening and relationship.

    Tanya Richam-Odoi

Craniosacral Therapy found me in 2014, after years of chronic back pain from dancing that nothing else touched. My first session hooked me: something released, like pressure I hadn't realised I was holding.

That experience led me to retrain as a therapist, weaving sound healing and vocal vibration into the work. I'm a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association.

My relationship with the body began through dance and movement, and this has shaped the way I have come to understand Craniosacral Therapy. In my teaching I explore the meeting place between movement and stillness, and how the tides can move our bodies in new and unexpected ways when we learn to listen and allow.

My work brings together Craniosacral Therapy, dance movement psychotherapy, breathwork and somatic practice, with a particular interest in neurodivergence. I am the founder of The Arc of Being, an embodied approach centred on Awareness, Regulation and Coherence.

I love the way Craniosacral Therapy honours the whole of a person’s system, the complex interweaving of body, mind, spirit and energy.

My personal journey has repeatedly taken me back to studying indigenous spiritual practices from around the world. (I studied Theology and Religious Studies as an undergraduate).

Following The Celtic Wheel of the Year for the last 16 years has been a life changing practice. There are so many layers to how this has re-oriented my relationship to the more than human world and myself.

I qualified as a Craniosacral Therapist in 2011 with Thomas Atlee at CCST. I have been teaching with CCST since 2016 and managed their Manchester training until 2024. I began my training in holistic therapies at the age of 22, qualifying as a Homeopath in 2002 from The Northwest College of Homeopathy. I am also a supervisor at the River School of Homeopathy.

In April 2023 I completed a year-long training in Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Mate. I have found this Somatic psychotherapeutic method to be an incredible modality for deepening my Craniosacral work and for supporting clients and students to meet the roots of their current challenges with gentleness and compassion, which is a powerful way to transmute old patterns and stories.

I have been on a beautifully scenic journey of personal development and healing over the last 25 years; this has taken many shapes and has included:

My life and work are infused by my practice of following the Celtic Wheel of the Year, and by my passion for being in a sacred reciprocal relationship with the natural world and the Cosmos, with the Elemental forces and with Source.
